Zachary “Zach” Vincente-Merlin Dalton, 41, of Salix, IA, passed away surrounded by his family on June 19, 2025.  A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sergeant Bluff.

Zach was born on November 10, 1983 in Sioux City, IA to William and Elizabeth (Davies) Dalton.  Zach enjoyed watching tv, surfing YouTube, outer space, and watching Sci-Fi movies.  He especially loved Christmas when he would get presents and was able to add to his avid toy collection.

Those left to honor his memory include his mother, Elizabeth Dalton; siblings: Gabriel Williams, Ruby Dalton, Manuel (Alicia Lingle) Dalton, and Alexander Dalton; and his niece, Eleanor Dalton.  Aunts and uncles: Mark and Kate Davies, Al and Anne Clingon and cousins: Stella and Lulu Davies,  Bailey and Griffin Clingon.

He is preceded in death by his dad, William; grandparents; Robert and Cynthia Dalton and Rev. Merlin and Karen Davies; and a brother, Ahmet Dalton.
