William O. “Will” Maaske passed away Monday, March 2, 2026 at his home, surrounded by loved ones. A Celebration of Life will be held from 1-4pm Saturday, March 21, 2026 at the Marina Inn (Marriott Riverfront), South Sioux City, Nebraska. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.
Will was born on October 4, 1952 in Sioux City, Iowa where he lived most of his life. He was the son of Harold and Valeria (Picksler) Maaske. After graduating High School he married the love of his entire life, Terri Wheelen in 1972 and together they raised 2 children, Chad and Melissa.
He owned and operated “Maaske’s Carpet Cleaning” for 27 years until joining his wife in building successful call centers in Nevada and South Dakota. Will was very involved in all family events and never missed any events his kids and grandkids were involved in, including their practices.
Will was a huge car racing fan and owned a dirt track race cars for several years. He gave his family many laughs to remember him by. Just to remember a couple of crazy accidents would include throwing his rod into the water when casting and hitting his own mailbox with his truck plus many more. He will be remembered by so many for being caring, a committed loving friend, husband, Dad and Papa.
He leaves behind amazing memories for his wife of 54 years, Terri, son, Chad Maaske (Amber) of SD, daughter, Melissa Price (Dwayne) of Las Vegas ,NV, 4 grandkids, Christian, Easton, Kinley, and Slone Maaske, mother-in-law, Lila, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, many nieces and nephews; and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, three sisters, and father-in-law, Dick.
