William A. “Luke” Lussier, 73 of Sioux City, passed away Monday, February 9, 2015 at a local hospital.
Services will be held 7:00 pm Thursday, February 12 at the Waterbury Funeral Service of Sergeant Bluff. Visitation will be held 4-7 pm at the funeral home of Sergeant Bluff. Online condolences may be sent to www.waterburyfuneralserviceinc.com.
William was born on July 10, 1941 in Sergeant Bluff, the son of Alcid and Margaritte (Schuler) Lussier. He graduated from the Sergeant Bluff High School in 1960. On August 18, 1962 William was united in marriage to JoAnn Schmidt. They made their home in the Leeds area.
William worked at Pacific Adhesives for about a decade, then worked with FMC as a chemist, until it’s sale to Terra Chemical.
William loved being with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He attended St. Michaels Catholic Church.
William is survived by his wife JoAnn; one son, Kevin Lussier of Sioux City; three daughters, Brenda and her husband Bryan McCuddin of Onalaska, Wisconsin, Debbie Dicks of Sioux City and Shari Lussier of Sioux City; 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Shirley (David) Menard of Sergeant Bluff, Janice (Ray) Nelson of Salix and Shelia Ford of Akron, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Teresa Lussier and one granddaughter, Paula Dicks.
