Billy Lukken, 25, of Sergeant Bluff died Monday, Aug. 29 at Unity Point after a courageous battle with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, September 2, 2016 at Community United Methodist Church, 101 Baker Rd., Sergeant Bluff, IA, with Rev. Tim Rieckhoff- Faris and Rev. Lorene Glant. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 1, 2016 from 4-7pm with family present 5-7pm at the church.

Billy was born January 25, 1991 in Sioux City, the son of Brad and Lori (Dimick) Lukken. He grew up and graduated high school in Sergeant Bluff. He loved WWE wrestling, horror movies, and sports. His favorite teams being the Seattle Seahawks and Oklahoma City Thunder. He will best be remembered for being a kind and gentle soul. Everyone that met him loved him and he will be dearly missed by all.

Survivors include his parents, Brad and Lori Lukken of Sergeant Bluff; brother Tony Lukken of Sergeant Bluff; sister Emily Lukken of Seattle, WA; paternal grandmother, Dorothy Becker of Okabena, MN; and several very special aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He proceeded in death by his maternal grandparents Douglas and Elaine Dimick; and paternal grandfather Darrell Lukken.

The family would like to give their sincerest thanks to all the doctors, nurses, caregivers, and friends in the community that helped support him through his journey.
