William John “Bill” Choquette was born August 3, 1970 in New Egypt, NJ, the son of David and Linda (Loisel) Choquette. He graduated from Riverside High School and was proud of his job at NPI (formerly WACO). Bill participated in the Special Olympics for many years in the 50-meter dash and the softball throw; he received a gold medal at the State meet.
Bill is #1 to everyone that knows him. He was the sweetest, most lovable guy you will ever know, and his hugs were the best! Bill’s favorite day was his birthday, August 3, and he liked to know everyone else’s birthday too. Bill loved to eat and know what everyone else had for lunch. He enjoyed motorcycle trips with his Dad and keeping the guys on time for lunch and dinner by tapping on his watch at noon and six. Bill may have been the world’s slowest dirt bike rider, but he loved to ride. He was also an excellent thumb and arm wrestler and would boast his victory by calling his opponent “Spaghetti Arms”. He enjoyed watching WWE and Power Rangers, and he loved his collection of spinners, but only when spun downward!
He is survived by his father, David Choquette of Sergeant Bluff, two brothers, Paul Choquette, Josh (Joleen) Choquette, one sister, Nicole (Sam) Masood, maternal grandmother, Donna Loisel, and many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Bill is preceded in death by his mother, his paternal grandparents and maternal grandfather.
In remembrance of Bill’s life, the family asks that any charitable donations in his honor be made to the Special Olympics.
