William “Bill” Gardner, 72, of Sioux City, Iowa, passed away on May 14, 2023.A Celebration of Life will be held at Riverside Park, Shelter #3, 1200 Riverside Blvd., Sioux City, Iowa, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 24th.

Bill was born to Wade and Imogene Gardner on May 30, 1950 in Estherville, Iowa.  He was raised in Terril, Iowa and graduated from Terril Community High School in 1968.  He is survived by his wife, Robin, mother-in-law, Karen Jones, grandson, Brock Crilly, siblings Karen Hillman, James Gardner and Patricia Byers, and in-laws, Ronda and Kim Schramm.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law, Emory Jones, and siblings, Richard Gardner, Terry Gardner and Scott Gardner.

Bill had worked for IPB before becoming self-employed in the tree business and then owning R & R Industries.  He will be missed by family and friends and especially all the children that grew up in his neighborhood.  He was a “bonus grandpa” to many!!  Bill and Robin truly enjoyed the past few years traveling and going on fishing trips.
