Ward J. Rosendahl, 78, of Sioux City passed away Sat. July 23, 2016 at his residence after a battle with cancer.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Friday, July 29, 2016 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Avenue, with visitation one hour prior to service time.

Ward was born June 28th, 1938 in Arnegard, North Dakota. Ward was a district manager at Iseman Mobile Home Sales, and for the last 35 years he was an independent insurance agent.

He was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church. Ward was a caring and giving man who volunteered for Meals on Wheels and many other community organizations. He enjoyed playing card games and dominoes with friends and family. He loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and will be missed and cherished by all. We will remember all the laughter we shared and his smile that would light up a room.

Ward is survived by his wife Phyllis of 58 years, his sons: Wade (Pam) and Brent (Michelle) Rosendahl, grandchildren: Sean (Jill), Jacob, Abigail, Elijah, and his brother Myron (Judie), and one sister in-law, Rowan Rosendahl.

He was preceded in death by his parents Helmer and Ethel Rosendahl and one brother, Forrest Rosendahl.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the June E. Nylen Cancer Center or Hospice of Siouxland.
