Wanda L. Floyd, 53 of Sioux City, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2011 at
Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City. Memorial Services will be held at a
later date in Georgia. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury
Funeral Service.
Wanda was born on November 25, 1957 in Trion, Georgia, the daughter of
Ted and Anne (Jones) Floyd. Wanda was raised in northwest Georgia in the
Chattooga and Walker counties. She attended high school in Lafayette,
Georgia.
In Georgia, she worked in the yarn textile industries as a twister. During
2004, she moved to Sioux City. She loved her pet cats, reading, gardening
traveling.
Wanda is survived by her daughter, Hollie and her husband Darrick
Barclay of Homer, Nebraska; two sons, Benjamin Moore of Lafayette, Georgia
and William Black of Knoxville, Tennessee; her father, Ted Floyd of Trion,
Georgia; her first husband, Glenn Moore; a special friend, Robert Brown;
9 grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and many adoring friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother Anne, and three brothers, Earl
Floyd, Randy Floyd and Kenneth Floyd.
