Virginia E. Lenzen, 70 of South Sioux City, passed away Friday, October 1, 2010
at a local hospital.
Services 11 am Tuesday, October
5, 2010 at the River Hills Church with Rev. Kevin Roach officiating. Burial
will be in the Kingsley Cemetery, Kingsley, Iowa. Visitation 5-8 pm Monday at
the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service.
Virginia was born on July 30,
1940 in Sioux City, the daughter of Otto and Hazel (Houchins) Kranz. She
obtained her GED at WITT in 1976. Virginia obtained her Associate Degree in
Theology in 1986 from the Bible College in Sioux City. Virginia worked for
Hirshbach Motor Lines in 1979, and from 1982 to 1986 she worked at IBP.
Virginia was a bookkeeper and trouble shooter at Gateway, and retired in 2003.
Virginia was a member of the
River Hills Church.
Virginia is survived by two
sons, Darold Sergdrager and his friend Gina Speulda of Sioux City and Eric
Lenzen and his wife Anita of South Sioux City; one daughter, Karla Sorgdrager
of Sioux City; 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Joanne
and her husband Richard Kuhlers of Sioux City and Jonna Lemcke of Hardwick,
Minnesota; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
