Victoria “Vicki” Nyreen McAllister, 50, of Sioux City, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2013 at her residence. Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service.

Vicki was born March 3, 1962, in Sioux City, daughter of Homer John and Joyce (Homer) Nyreen. Vicki graduated from East High School in 1980. She moved to Arkansas and worked at the Arkansas Nuclear One for ten years. In June of 2001 she moved back to Sioux City and married James McAllister on February 15, 2002. Vicki loved spending time with her family and loved her dogs.

Survivors include her husband Jim of Sioux City, mother Joyce Thompson of Sioux City, sons Ben Chamberlin and his wife Elizabeth of North Sioux City, and Josh Chamberlin and his wife Jessica of Sioux City, daughter Samantha McAllister, of Sioux City, and grandchildren Colby, Tyler, Ashley, and Chloe Chamberlin.

Vicki was preceded in death by her father Homer Nyreen and step-father Ronald Thompson.
