Viana Kotz, 84 of South Sioux City, Nebraska passed away Sunday, August 25, 2024. Services will be held 11:00am Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at the Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City. Burial will be in Dakota City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00am until 7:00pm Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at the Waterbury Funeral Service in Sioux City.

Viana was born April 4, 1940, in Decatur, Nebraska the daughter of Eddie and Mabel (Sartz) Mason. She attended school in Decatur. Viana was a waitress for many years. She met a lot of people who became friends. Viana enjoyed listening to music and love to dance, she was the life of the party. She also had no issue standing up for herself and her friends.

She is survived by her children; Austin (Sissy) Kotz, Travis (Josephine) Kotz, Shirley (Scott) Miller, Brenda (Tom) Leander, sister, Rosie Mason, ten grandchildren, Dustin, Patrick, Austin, Josie, Travis, Willis, Bently, Marcus, Tommy and Matt, great grandchildren, Sabrina, Savannah, baby Pearl and numerous others, and one great great grandchild, Westyn.

Viana is preceded in death by her parents, son, Johnnie, and four brothers, Willis Mason, Johnny Mason, Roy Mason, and Tommy Mason.
