Velma Grace (Johnson) Harbeck, 83 of Sioux City went to be with the Lord on March 23, 2024, at 1:06am with her daughter Tracy and granddaughter, Christy by her side holding her hands. Memorial Services will be held 10:30am Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at the Riverside Lutheran Church with Pastor Tim Squier officiating.

Velma Harbeck was born November 30, 1940, in Sioux City, Iowa the daughter of Jonathan and Phyllis (Spaulding) Johnson. On November 22, 1960, Velma married Harold H. Harbeck in Luverne, MN. She enjoyed spending time with her daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her many friends. Velma also enjoyed her many mini vacations, her shopping trips and getting her nails done.

Her many hobbies include cross stitching, quilting, coffee with friends, attending church, fishing, cooking and baking.

Velma is survived by her daughter Tracy (Richard) Mead, of Storm Lake; three grandchildren, Christy (Freman) Watkins, Randa (Jose) Hoover and Dustin Fox; and six great grandchildren, Destiny, Bailey, Jacob, Emilee, Tyler, and Everleigh.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers, Richard and Michael Johnson, and a sister, Janet Johnson.
