Obituary

Troy Scott Robinson, age 47, of Sioux City passed away on Friday January 17, 2014 at his residence of natural causes.

Per his wishes, Troy has been cremated. A Celebration of Life for Troy will be held from 1-3 pm on Saturday January 25, 2014 at the Christy-Smith Resource Center, 1819 Morningside Ave. Waterbury Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements .Online condolences for the family may be made at www.waterburyfuneralserviceinc.com.

Troy was born in Sioux City on August 21, 1966, the son of Lester and Frances (Kamm) Robinson. He attended Sioux City Schools and graduated from East High School with the class of 1985. He then attended Briar Cliff University and later attended Western Iowa Tech where he received degree in IT.

He was united in marriage with Melinda Morgan on December 3, 1988, and to this union two daughters were born. The couple later divorced.

Troy worked for a short period of time for Union Pacific in Omaha, before returning to Sioux City where he was employed with Mid-American Energy. He loved to hunt, fish, and enjoyed all sports. He coached his own daughters in softball and attended all of their contests. Troy brightened every room he entered. He was a fun loving individual who had a great sense of humor. He also enjoyed all animals. His greatest achievement was being a great father to his two beautiful daughters, always giving his unconditional love.

His life will be remembered by his family which includes his daughters Melanie of Sioux City and McKenzie of Ames, his mother and step-father Fran and Wilbur Westhoff of Sioux City, three half brothers: Bradley, Calvin, and Loren and half sister Lori, five step brothers Greg, Bryan, Kevin, Kurt, and Barry and a step-sister Lisa, along with many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews

Troy was preceded in death by his father, and his grandparents: Julius and Minnie Kamm and Lester J and Sophie Robinson.
