Tracee L. Smith, 63, of Sioux City, IA, passed away June 26, 2025, at a local nursing home due to complications from ALS.  A celebration of Life will be held on Saturday July 19, 2025, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. at 5001 Harbor Drive, Sioux City, Iowa: IBEW LOCAL 231 Building.  Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Tracee was born on March 24, 1962, in Sioux City, IA to Richard and Dolores (Murtha) Smith.  She was the youngest of six children. She attended both Heelan and North High School. In 1989 Tracee and Randy Garr welcomed their first child, Aaron Randall Garr. Then in 1991 they had their second child, Brianna Marie Garr. Aaron and Brianna were Tracee's pride and joy. She worked most of her life at Sara Lee (Bimbo Bakery) before the plant closed in South Sioux City, NE. She married Le Jones in 2013, and they later divorced. Tracee always kept a tidy home and enjoyed cleaning. She loved her Mexican burritos and margaritas, but man did she really love her grand babies! She spent a lot of time watching movies, and cuddling with her dog, Cookie. Those who knew Tracee will remember her for her sense of humor, & her infectious smile. Her door was always open, and she loved visiting with friends and family. Everyone she encountered had nothing but nice things to say about her.

Those left to honor her memory include her children: Aaron (Justine) Garr and Brianna Garr; grandchildren: Aamir Brown, Amaia Brown, Kaysen Garr and Lainee Garr; siblings: Steve (Carol) Smith, Rochelle Smith, Forrest Smith, Trent Smith, and Alison Smith.

She is preceded in death by her parents. Dolores and Richard Smith.
