Obituary

Tod A. "Gig" Harling, 49 of Sioux City, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at the Embassy Care Center in Sergeant Bluff from brain cancer.

Services will be held 11 am Saturday at the Friendship Community Church in Sergeant Bluff with Rev. Verlyn Schaap officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation with the family 9 am until 11 am, at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service.

Tod was born on July 2, 1963 in Sioux City, the son of James and Cheryl Harling. He graduated from East High School in 1982. Tod lived in California for 22 years, working in sales most of his life. He moved back to Sioux City in February of 2009. Tod was a Vikings and San Diego Charges fan.

Tod is survived by his daughter Sammantha D. Harling of Sioux City and Sofia I. Harling of Pasadena, California; his mother, Cheryl K. Hamm, Sister, Christine K. (Brad) Robinson and their children: Courtney & Cody Robinson, his wife Natali L. Harling, sons, John DeLeon, and Josh DeLeon of Anaheim Hills, California, He is also survived by many Aunts and Uncles, and his life long friend Joel Stukas.

He was preceded in death by his father, James C. Harling, a brother James C. (Duce) Harling, and Step-Father Donald E. Hamm.
