Tina Marie Cowan, age 53, of Sioux City passed away on Wednesday October 16, 2013 at a local hospital.

Memorial services will be held at 6:00 pm Friday October 25, 2013 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sioux City, with Rev. Tess Panamarow officiating. Waterbury Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be sent to www.waterburyfuneralserviceinc.com.

Tina was born on September 17, 1960 in Sioux City, the daughter of Gene and Shirley (Laddusaw) Custer. She was a lifetime resident of the area. She was united in marriage with Dwayne Cowan on June 23, 2003 in Elk Point, South Dakota.

She worked for the city of Sioux City for several years at the Parks and Recreation Department as well as the Tyson Events Center. She enjoyed everyone she came into contact with. Tina was especially fond of all of her pets.

She is survived by her husband Dwayne, her mother Shirley, son William Custer, step daughter Shawna Krugeer, 4 brothers: Terry Custer and his wife Amy, Randy Custer and his wife Dianne, Gary Custer and Dennis Custer, and two sisters: Patricia Ellis and Carol Junck. She is also survived by two grandchildren: Timmy and Tiffany, a special friend Marcia Horne, and her four pugs: LeRoy, Hank, Chuck, and Sissy.

Tina was preceded in death by her father, a brother Guy, a sister Linda, and two brothers-in- law, Gordon Cowan, and Richard Ellis.
