Timothy “Tim” James Muston, 66, of Sioux City, IA, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2026. A funeral service will be held Monday, January 19 at 11:00 a.m., at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date in Graceland Park Cemetery.

Tim was born on May 25, 1959 in Sioux City, IA to John and Deanna (Denning) Muston. He graduated from East High School in 1977 and went on to attend Western Iowa Technical College, where his course of study was a machinist. He later went back in 2004 to get his CDL license. He worked at IBP and was a long haul trucker for many years, working at Werner Transportation and Heyl Truck Line.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved hunting, fishing, camping and rebuilding small motors.

Those left to honor his memory include his father, John (Jean) Muston; mother, Deanna Benson; brother, Jon (Leslie) Muston; children: Greg (Lisa) Muston and Melissa (Kenny) Muston; grandchildren: Austin (Mikaela) Prokop, Collin Muston, Kamren Sweat, Kelsie (Edgar) Schwedler, Kalyn Sweat (Joel), Rylie Schwedler, Annabelle Muston; great grandchildren: Alexis, Noah, Greyson, Sebastian, Paisley, Laken; sister-in-law: Yong Muston; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved cat Oreo.

He is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, his older brother, Craig Muston and infant twin brother.
