Timothy “Tim” L. Peterson, Sr. 59 of Sioux City died Sunday, November 1, 2015 at a local hospital.

Service will be held 2 pm Saturday, November 7, 2015 with Military Honors from the United States Army, at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave, with Pastor Martha Anderson officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Timothy was born August 2, 1956 in Sioux City, son of James and Betty (Tubbs) Peterson. He joined the Army in 1974. He married Linda Gigaroa August 2, 1988 in Sioux City, Iowa. Tim was the jack of all trades.

Tim enjoyed fishing, camping and working on cars.

He is survived by his wife Linda, one son Tim (Tabatha) Peterson of Sioux City, four daughters; Anita (Casey) Witzke, Alicia Gigaroa of Sioux City, Pam (Ron) Arnold of Sedalia, Mo., Tory Peterson of Omaha, two brothers Larry Dwyer of South Sioux City, Jerry Reed of Sioux City, six sisters; Susanne Furay of Connecticut, Toni Clay of Elk Point, Amy Fleshner of Lincoln, Pam Christensen, Carla Swigen of South Sioux City, Wendy Newcomb of Florida, seventeen grandchildren, and two great grandchildren

Timothy is preceded in death by his parents, one son Chad Peterson, two brothers Virgil and James Reed, and one sister Lisa Meyer.
