Obituary

Timothy L. "Tim" Davis, 65 of Sioux City, Iowa passed away Saturday, March 13, 2021 at a local care facility. Graveside service will be held 2:00pm Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Timothy Lee “Tim” Davis was born December 11, 1955 in Sioux City, Iowa the son of Parke and Pearl Davis.

I will forever miss your laugh; it was truly one of a kind. Uncle Tim had a huge heart and was friendly to everyone, even those who didn’t deserve his kindness. I’m sorry cancer invaded your body so hard. The pain you felt I can’t even imagine. Yet you had such a will to live. You often seemed content with having very few things and giving so much to others. Your life had so many struggles and hills to climb, you lost unfairly and not by your own doing. One thing I know is you were a good person with lots of love. I Love You; and you will forever be my uncle I called “Pretty Boy Floyd.” I miss you already. A fighter you were in every true since of the form.

Papa talks of crazy childhood stories; about how you were a great athlete, that he was the referee between you and Uncle Emmett. I will never forget you calling papa from downstairs, “Come down here big daddy squirrel, you want some of me too?” I wish your daughter could have known you the way I know you. Someday we will get the chance to tell her what a wonderful, loving person you were.

I will never forget when you always ironed your Levi’s before a date, never going barefoot, oh those sneakers, and the rolled up rug memories that only the Davis family knows. The last time I saw you, running late from a date, giving me a hug and then skipped the flight of stairs like a superhero and you were gone. So so many memories.

Today, March 13, 2021, you chose your day. I bet your mamma gave you the biggest hug, and reuniting with your father was wonderful sight to see. You go and have that chocolate shake with Grandma Jane and be free. No more hills to climb. You will be forever loved and missed. Though my tears today I will find the strength to have a chocolate shake in your honor.

Tim is survived by his four brothers, Jim Martin, Chuck Martin, Mike (Terri) Davis, Emmett (Lisa) Holmberg, two sisters, Diana Stanton, Rhonda (Don) Soule and special nieces, and nephews, Ronald Lenz, Dan Lenz, Debbie Bornholtz, Jackie Reinhardt, Jennifer Johnson, Autumn Davis, Erika Davis, AaronBenson, Shannon Cook, Shane Morton and Leah Holmberg, several great nieces and nephews.

Timothy is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
