Thomas "Tom" Lee Richards

Thomas Lee Richards, 76, of Sergeant Bluff, IA, passed away surrounded by his family on September 1, 2025.  A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Community United Methodist Church.  Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sergeant Bluff.

Tom was born on July 29, 1949, in Sioux City, IA to Marvin and Shirley (Anderson) Richards.  He received his associate's degree in engineering from Western Iowa Tech.  He worked as an engineer for Lockeed-Martin for over 35 years before retiring.  Tom was united in marriage to Eva Bunch on February 11, 1972, at First Lutheran Church in South Sioux City, NE.  Together they enjoyed traveling and going on cruises.  Tom also liked to hunt and fish; his favorite trip was when he went on his African hunting safari.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Eva Richards; sons: Greg (Lori) Richards and Zach (Jessica) Richards; grandkids: Brooke Richards, Jasmine Ridgley, Cooper Richards, Austin Richards, Samantha Richards, and Payton Richards; brothers: Steve and Dave Loftshult.

He is preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters: Susan and Wilma; and a brother, Denny.
