Thomas J. “Bucky” Buchholz, 75 of North Sioux City, South Dakota passed away Sunday, October 6, 2024, at a care facility. Services will be held 12:00pm on Friday, October 18, 2024, at the Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Thomas was born February 7, 1949, in Sioux City, Iowa the son of Louis and Betty (Bauaman) Buchholz. He graduated from Jefferson High School. In 1969 Thomas enlisted into the United States Army receiving an honorable discharge. He married Julie Miller, and they have been happily married for 35 years. Thomas worked for IBP (Tyson) and John Morrell as an Electrician. He later went to work for Thermal Bond.

He enjoyed making things, rebuilding motors and making parts especially for his Harley motorcycle. Thomas also would go power parachuting and made mini motorcycles and toy trains.

Left to honor his memory is his wife Julie, five children: Danny Zimmerman, Brandy Buchholz, stepson, Nathan Miller, stepdaughter, Melissa Miller, Shelly Zimmerman, brother, David Buchholz of Tombal, TX., sister, Mary Fouche of Indianola, IA, numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, son, Tommy, and a grandson, Trevor.
