Thomas G. “Tom” Fulton, 74 of Sioux City, Iowa passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at his home, surrounded by his family. Graveside service will be held 1:30pm Thursday, March 12, 2026 in Arlington Cemetery, Moville, Iowa. Military honors will be provided by United States Navy and the American Legion. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.
Tom was born May 25, 1951 in Sioux City, Iowa the son of Eugene and Mary (Henderson) Fulton. He grew up and graduated from Woodbury Central High School in Moville, Iowa. Tom enlisted in the United States Navy in 1970 and received an honorable discharge in 1972. After serving in the Navy Tom continued his education at WITCC to attain his CDL license in their Truck Driver Training Program. He went to work for Elesworth Truck Lines out of Eagle Grove, Iowa.
He was a self taught carpenter by trade; he then went on to work for several construction companies for many years throughout his career. In 2024 Tom retired from Goodwill of Great Plains. On June 30, 1976 Tom married Peggy Horn and in this union they had three daughters: Kim, Sara and Becky.
Tom attended many dirt track races and was a fan of IMCA and UMTS. He also attended some ARCA and NASCAR races at the Iowa and Kansas Speedways. Tom also enjoyed going to the Boone Nationals every September and the drag racing at the SRCA Dragstrip in Scribner, NE. Tom’s favorite charity was Toys for Tots where he donated numerous items over the last 10 years.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy; three daughters: Kim (Nick) Elgert, Sara Fulton, Becky (Zac) French; three grandchildren: Wyatt, Ruttledge and Breanne; three brothers: Tim Fulton, Jay Fulton, Tracy Fulton and two sisters: Judy Hinch and Joanne (Bill) Lawson.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Jack and Terry Fulton and sister, Janice Brown.
