Thomas A. Erickson, 45, of Sioux City, passed away Monday, May 23, 2016 in Sioux City. Services will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, May 27, 2016 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave., with Rev. BJ Van Kalsbeek officiating. A visitation will be held from 4-7 with family present from 5-7pm on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery following the services on Friday.

Tom was born on November 30, 1970 in Sioux City, the son of Arthur and Denelda (Juergens) Erickson. He graduated from East High School in 1989. Tom married Misty Johnson on August 7, 1999 in McCook Lake, SD, together they lived in Kansas City for 12 years then moved back to Sioux City. Tom worked for various construction companies while living in Kansas City and Sioux City.

Tom loved sports, and was an avid Kansas City Royals fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially playing ball with his son and watching him play hockey. Tom was a member of AA and had a strong support group of friends that helped him throughout the years.

Survivors include his wife, Misty of Sioux City; their son, Joseph, at home; daughter Addy (Alan) Bottjen of Bellevue, NE; siblings, Kenneth (Susan) Erickson of Merrill, IA, Daniel (Kathy) Erickson of Sergeant Bluff, IA, Randall (Carla) Erickson of Sioux City, Patricia (Gary) Barkley of Kansas City, MO, Kathleen Nissen of Sergeant Bluff, IA, Robert (Kristine) Erickson of Sergeant Bluff, IA; and brother-in-law, Jim Hollins of Sioux City; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Joan Hollins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
