Thomas “Tom” Robinson passed away on March 20, 2019 in Sioux City, Iowa at the age of 51. Tom will be cremated and there will be a graveside service for family and close friends at Graceland Park Cemetery on April 5 th , 2019 at 1:00 p.m. For all who knew Tom, there will be a celebration of life from 4:00p.m. – 6:00p.m. at the Sgt. Brew Grill and Pub in Sergeant Bluff following the graveside service. Tom would like if everyone would wear Iowa Haweye attire.
Tom was born on June 14, 1967 in Sioux City to parents Ralph and Clare Robinson. He was always sure to remind you to hang the American flag for his birthday, and he did not have a birth DAY, he had a birth WEEK, or a birth MONTH if he had his say so. Tom was a witty individual who loved life, being with friends and family, and telling stories. Tom had a story and an opinion about every subject under the sun. Tom was passionate about spending time with family and friends, Iowa Hawkeye football and talking (to anyone that would listen.)
Tom is survived by his sisters: Laurie (Robinson) Liebetrau, and her husband Steve, nephew Ben, nieces Audrey of Elk Point, SD, and Maggi of Rapid City, SD. Deb Robinson of Lincoln, NE, brothers: Ralph (Jim) Robinson of Dayton, IA. John Robinson and his wife Michelle of Sergeant Bluff, IA, nephew Chris of Sioux City and niece Lauren of Sioux Falls, SD, Brian Robinson of Sergeant Bluff, IA, Michael (Mike) Robinson nephew Austin and niece Madison of Sioux City, IA, Ray Robinson and his wife Lori, nephew Jason, nieces Olivia and Abigail of Crescent, IA, cousins Rick Nichols, Mike Nichols, Vickie Germany, and Sheryl Germany.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents; Ralph (Robbie) and Clare Robinson, grandfather, Ralph Roland Robinson, grandparents, Francis and Edna McGuire, grandparents, Arthur and Beulah Peck, great grandparents, Ralph Worth and Hazel Nunamaker, uncle, Eilert Nichols, aunt, Patricia Robinson, aunt, June (Robinson) Snedeker, and cousin, Timothy Nichols.
The family would like to thank the caregivers and staff at Unity Point St. Luke’s in Sioux City for their care and dedication to Tom’s health.
Memorials can be made out to John Robinson to help with Tom's final expenses.
