Thomas “Tommy” Dewey Huisman, age 32, of Sioux City passed away on Saturday August 17, 2013 at a local hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Friday August 23, 2013 at Waterbury Funeral Service in Sergeant Bluff with Rev. Roger Madden officiating. Mr. Huisman will be cremated following the funeral service. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5-8 pm with the family present from 6-7 pm at the funeral home. Tommy was born on December 20, 1980 in Sioux City, the son of Thomas C. Huisman and Barbara W. “James”. He attended Sioux City Community Schools.
Tommy worked in various positions in Sioux City in areas of Security, Fast Food, and as a laborer.
He loved animals, Fast Cars, especially Chevy Blazers. He loved all of his family and friends. He had a Heart of Gold and a very vivid imagination.
He is survived by his father Thomas, of Sioux City, his daughter Serenity Lucille-Grace Braun, his fiancée Heather Ryan, two brothers: Robert E James and his wife Jessica and Victor James both of Sioux City, his sisters Sharon Huisman and her husband Chubby, Candi Lopez of Sioux City, Barbara Brunick and her husband Todd of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Lorrie James of Sioux City. Tommy is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as his many friends. He is also survived by his companion Peanut.
He was preceded in death by his mother Barbara on September 7, 2011, and his grandparents
