Thomas Elem Dawdy, 49, of Sioux City, IA, passed away December 23, 2023 at a local hospital.  A funeral service will be held Friday, January 5th from 5-7:00 p.m. at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.  A pot luck will follow the service at Uncle Dave’s Bar, the family asks that you please bring a side or dessert.

Tommy was born on February 15, 1974 in Nashville, TN to Dennis and Terri (Moore) Dawdy.  He grew up in the Greenville neighborhood and attended East High school in Sioux City. He loved his children and wished he could of been able to impact them more. Tommy was a bike enthusiast, he enjoyed building and collecting bmx and mountain bikes. He loved listening heavy metal , punk, and thrash music, and attending concerts. Tommy was a Iowa Hawkeye fan and he loved watching the New Orleans Saints. Tommy celebrated life in full force, he loved visiting and sharing drinks at gatherings. Tommy had many friends and he considered his closest friends as family. He will be remembered for his bright smile and the gifts he gave wherever he went.

Those left to honor his memory include his children: Tess (Stewart) Simpson, Onawa, IA, Charlotte Behning, Belladonna (fiancé Mark Bauer III) Dawdy, Jasmine Dawdy, and Grace Dawdy, all of Sioux City, IA; grandchildren: Annisia and Caysin Simpson; former partners: Melissa Lowe and Peggy Baker-Dawdy.

He is also survived by his Brothers in life: Chris Bowder, John and Luke Sackett, Aaron Butcher, and Best Friend Jason Bowder.

He is preceded in death by his father Dennis Dawdy and brother in life, Scott Foster.
