Thomas A. Davis, 57, of Sioux City, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at his residence. Services will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Faith Lutheran Church with Rev. Ralph Shorey officiating. A visitation will be held Monday, February 2, 2015 from 6-8 with a prayer service at 7 pm at the Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.
Tom was born on May 28, 1957 in Tacoma, Washington, the son of Marlyon Davis and Bonita (Deck) Maurmann. Tom grew up and attended school in Tacoma, Washington. He joined the United States Air Force in 1974 and was an air craft fuel mechanic; he was honorably discharged in 1985. Following the military, Tom started his career at Boeing as an air craft fabricator.
Tom married Sandra Gregory in June of 1990 in Auburn, Washington, together they moved to Sioux City in July of 2001. As a child Tom and his brothers and sister spent many summers at their grandparent’s house swimming at Hood Canal.
Tom was an avid Seattle Seahawks fan, enjoyed building gas powered airplanes, listening to music and working on cars, he just loved working with his hands.
Survivors include his wife, Sandy, children, Justin Ratliff and his wife Rosa of New Port Richey, FL, Bonita Davis of Sioux City, Samantha Davis of Sioux City, and Kori Fleming and her husband Joe of Sioux City, mother, Bonita Maurmann of Las Vegas, NV, step-mother Connie Davis of Graham, WA, brothers Christopher Davis and his wife Pet of Las Vegas, NV and Daniel Davis and his wife Goldie of Paradise, WA, sister, Marylynn Mims and her husband Rick of Tacoma, WA, and grandchildren. Selena, Morgan, Bailey, Amaya, Kaydence, Larissa, and Rylen.
Tom was preceded in death by his father, Marlyon Davis.
