Terry D. Taylor, 74 of Sioux City, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at Pioneer Valley Care Center in Sergeant Bluff. A Celebration of Terry’s life will be held 10:30 am Thursday, January 8, 2026 at the United Lutheran Church, 315 Hamilton Blvd, with Rev. John Jorgensen officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service time.

Terry Dale Taylor was born on February 8, 1951 in Sioux City, Iowa he was the son of Charles and Shirley (Ellis) Taylor.

Terry was married to Cynthia Riley in 1969. They had two children, Chad and Trevor. Terry and Cynthia divorced in the 1980’s. Terry worked with his brother Gene at Taylor Contracting. Later he worked at the local food bank for several years until retiring.

During 1996 he met Cynthia Walker and they have been together ever since. Terry enjoyed watching westerns on TV, especially Gunsmoke, and his favorite movies were the ones with the Duke, John Wayne in them.

Terry is survived by Cindy Walker, his two sons; Chad Taylor and Trevor Taylor, brother, Gayln (Judy) Taylor, two sisters, Ruth (Orville) Morrow and Linda Harvey, several grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Gene, sister, Gwen Pranschke, three nieces and one nephew.
