Tarquin DeWayne Cameron

Tarquin D. Cameron, 95 of Sioux City, Iowa died Saturday, September 26, 2026 at a care facility in Le Mars. Funeral services will be held at 10 am Friday at the Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Avenue. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Tarquin DeWayne Cameron was born on March 23, 1931 in Sioux City, the son of Charles and Ruby (Hedges) Cameron. Tarquin attended North Jr. High School. On November 9, 1949 Tarquin was united in marriage to Frances Lucille Moore. Tarquin worked at many different meat packing plants in Sioux City and later at Beef America in Le Mars, Iowa. He also worked many different jobs over the years in the area.

Later, he attended WIT to earn his high school diploma, accounting diploma and other classes. Tarquin also loved to go fishing and camping and traveling. His all-time hobby was woodworking. He loved spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids. Tarquin would play board games and later bought a pool table. Tarquin and Frances loved playing pool.

Tarquin is survived by his two sons, Dennis (Laura) Cameron and Bruce (Anna) Cameron; 7 grandchildren: Shannon, Rochelle, Joel, Tony, Kelly Arlin and Brittany; 13 great-grandchildren: Faith, Hope, Kyle, Tyler, Logan, Emilee, Morganne, Savannah, Phoenix, Kael, Calah, Vatjalis and Oleg; his sister Jane Miller; and a brother, Bill Cameron.

He was preceded in death by his wife Frances (Dee) Cameron of 77 years, a son Joseph and a grandson Tracy; his parents Charles and Ruby and 2 brothers, John, David Lincoln.
