Tamela "Tammy" Thompson, 61, of Sioux City, IA passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at a local hospital. Memorial Services will be held at 11am June 1, 2024, at Abundant Life Church, 809 S. Alice St. Sioux City, IA 51106. A visitation will begin one hour prior.  Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Tamela "Tammy" Lynn Thompson was born Saturday, July 21, 1962, in Sioux City, Iowa to Jim Bolin and Emma McNaughton. She married Ronald Thompson June 20, 1986, and to this union, her pride and joy, Brianna, was born. She loved her family so very much!

Tammy was a caregiver by nature and showed it in her employment and in her life as she took care of everyone around her. She loved camping, swimming with all the kids, her animals, crocheting, and of course hippos. She was an amazing cook especially with baking. She liked to play darts and spending time with family and friends. Tammy was a mother to many...having numerous honorary kids.

Tammy will be forever missed by the love of her life, Ron; her number one pride and joy daughter, Brianna (Damian) Ortiz; the light of her life, her grandson, Xavier Ortiz; her sister, Sabrina (Jay) Clark; her aunts Jeanette McNaughton, Judy Thompson, Dorothy McNaughton; uncle Charles (Lila) Fiscus and her close family and friends.

Tammy is preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; brothers, sisters, mother-in-law Ella Taylor; and sister-in-law Brenda Taylor.
