Syndy Sue Crooks, 63, of Sioux City, IA, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on June 2, 2025 at a local hospital.  A funeral service will be held Sunday, June 22 at 11:00 a.m., with a visitation 1 hour prior at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Syndy was born on October 14, 1961 in Omaha, NE to Adolph and Patricia (Helt) Yudka.  She was united in marriage to Scott Crooks, he preceded her in death in 2016.  She enjoyed camping, fishing, ice skating on McCook Lake when she was younger, and spending time with her grandkids.

Those left to honor her memory include her daughters: Patience Andresen and Jessie Yudka; son, Lucas Andresen; mother, Patricia Yudka; boyfriend, Kendall Rickett; Tina Yudka-Hetzel; siblings: Adam Yudka, Marie Yudka, and Geri Ann Haafke; grandkids: Sophia, Ian, Izabelle, Cecilia, Lexi, Zayne, and Lilli; great-granddaughter, Mavis; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and extended family.

She is preceded in death by her father, Adolph; husband, Scott; and her grandma, Louise.
