Suzanne Marie Baker, 64, of Sioux City, Iowa, passed away after a brief illness in Omaha, NE. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, September 20 at 11:00 a.m., with a visitation 1 hour prior at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.
Suzanne was born on July 6, 1961, in Sioux City, IA to Robert Baker and Kathryn (Woods) Baker. She grew up in Sioux City and attended Sioux City schools. At the age of 40, she went back to school and obtained her bachelor's degree in social work from Briar Cliff University. Suzanne was a free spirit and enjoyed traveling. She moved to Enid, OK, Portland, OR and Sacramento, CA. She was extremely creative and artistic, creating everything from making her own patterns, jewelry, crafts, paintings and dolls. Her decorating skills were outstanding. She loved Tommy Bolin and was a "Bolinette", a title she was proud to have.
Those left to honor her memory include her mother, Kathryn Harbeck; children: Melissa (Tim Graff); Timothy (Katie) and Matthew Weinmeister; nephew, Robbie Hatfield; and 8 grandchildren who she adored: Nathanael, Levi, KateLynn, Mia, Asher, Charlie, Mikey and Ezra.
She is preceded in death by her father, grandparents, and sister, Lori Hatfield.
