Susan E. Utesch, 62 of Sioux City, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at her home.

A celebration of life service will be held 11:00 am, Monday, April 4, 2016 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave. A luncheon will follow the service at the funeral home.

Susan was born May 8, 1953 in Sioux City, the daughter of Carlysle and Leatrice Ruhrer. She grew up in Sioux City, graduating from East High School. Susan married Timothy Utesch on November 2, 1984. Susan was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Family meant everything to her.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, putting together her puzzles, and bargaining for the best shopping deals, most importantly, just wanting everyone to be loved and happy.

Susan is survived by her husband, Timothy Utesch; her children, Ben (Jess) Ruhrer, Seth (Breanna) Ruhrer, Don Utesch, Aleesha (Seth) Hoppens; grandchildren, Jakob Ruhrer, Alex Hoppens, Sterling Ruhrer; two brothers, Robert Ruhrer and Craig Ruhrer; two sisters, Linda Maxfield and Gina Ruhrer.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Sheri Case.
