Susan Kay Thompson

Susan Kay Thompson, 75, of Sioux City, Iowa passed away December 30, 2025 surrounded by her family. There will be no services at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Sue was born June 9, 1950 in Sioux City, IA to Lester and Esther (Mallett) Cannon. She graduated from South Sioux City High School. Sue was united in marriage to Arnold Thompson on November 16, 1973, and together they made their home in the Siouxland area.

Sue enjoyed fishing, thrift stores, and going to church on Sundays.

Those left to honor her memory include her five children: William Thompson, Arnold Thompson, Jr., Rose Custer, Beverly Thompson, and Danny Thompson all of Sioux City, IA; 20 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; siblings: Barbara Guinn, Gwendolyn Lee Cannon, Debra Harter, Lori Johnson, Rodney Cannon, Rusty Cannon, and Leslie Cannon.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arnold; and brother, Robert Cannon.
