Susan K. Johnson, 69, of Sioux City, Iowa, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2026, at her residence surrounded by family. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026, from 1:00 -3:00 p.m. at Waterbury Funeral Service, 4125 Orleans Avenue, Sioux City, Iowa 51106.

Susan “Sue” Kay Johnson was born on September 2, 1956, in Sioux City, the daughter of Wallace and Beverly (Prim) Johnson. Susan attended Central High School.

Sue worked at several area businesses, including Johnson Biscuit and later Inter Bake, retiring in 2010. Sue enjoyed playing bingo, camping, driving with no destination in mind and was a Kansas City Chiefs football fan. Sue enjoyed making potato salad and “green fluff” because she knew her family liked the way she made it. Sue had a playful and welcoming personality. She had a hard working and nurturing spirit. She did not care where you came from in life: all were welcome. She loved her children, grandchildren and her dogs, George and Max.

Susan is survived by her sons, Travis (Amy) Johnson and Daniel (Marilyn Lara) Johnson; son-in-law, Paul Lewis; sister, Rose Green; nieces, Jamie and Brenda; nephew Joey; grandchildren: Trevor, Kaylynn, Waylon, Haylee, Brennan, Nathan and Ava along with other relatives and many friends.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Rachel Johnson.
