Susan M. Hanson Cherrier, 58, of Sioux City, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, May 4, 2018 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City. A visitation with family will begin one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Private family burial will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.

Susan was born on June 9, 1959 in Sioux City to Glen and Joan (Preston) Hanson and graduated from North High School. She married Mark Cherrier in 1977, and to this union three daughters were born, Lynette, Michelle, and Amanda. Susan and Mark later divorced. Susan loved serving others and gave her life to raising her daughters. She always and a smile on her face and really enjoyed a good rainstorm.

Survivors include her mother, Joan Hanson of Sioux City; significant other, Bill Hoffer of Sioux City; daughters, Lynette (Brandon Welter) Cherrier of Sioux City; Michelle (Jeffrey) Gibson of Florida; and Amanda (Carl Vanden Berg) Cherrier of Wisconsin; sisters, Kim (Arley) Rankin of Arizona, Deb Keele of Sioux City, Katy Fiksdale of Marshalltown, IA, and Robin (Jeff Michels) Thompson of Sioux City; and seven grandchildren.

Susan was preceded in death by her father, Glen.
