Obituary

Steven M. Bell, 65, of Sioux City, IA, passed away April 11, 2025, at a hospital in Omaha.  A memorial service will be held Friday, April 18 at 1:00 p.m., with a visitation 1 hour prior at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Steve was born on December 31, 1959 in New York to Leon and Regina Bell.  He graduated from Spring Valley High School in New York and went on to attend technical school.  He was united in marriage to Mandy Carnes in 2007 in Sioux City, they later divorced.  Steve worked as a computer programmer, at MCI, owned his satellite and flower business, and worked as a part-time cook and server for the past two years at Sarg’s Philly Time.  He made a lot of friends and loved his job.  Steve was a big comedian who was always on the go, made everyone happy and liked to help others.  He enjoyed doing electrical work, driving around, working on his yard, building ponds and taking care of his pool.

Those left to honor his memory include his children: Shawn Bell, Steven Bell, Dillon (Bailey Reed) Bell, and their children, Mylah Kay, Novalie Jade and baby girl on the way; Skyler Bell, Regina Bell, and Arianna Bell; brother, Dustin (Melissa) Carnes; and their children, Alex, and Max Carnes and other special people whom he loved very much and called his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Phillip J. Bell; and his aunt, Francis.
