Steven S. DeMey, 51 of Sioux City, Iowa passed away Monday, November 14, 2022, at the University of Iowa. Celebration of Life will be held from 11:00am until 8:00pm Sunday, December 4, 2022, at The Half Moon Bar and Grill in Sioux City.

Steve was born August 12, 1971, in Sioux City, Iowa the son of LeRoy and Shirley (Christiansen) DeMey. He grew up in Sioux City, Iowa and graduated from East High School. He loved to play football and softball with the Greenville buddy’s on the weekends when he was a teenager.  Steve was a sweetheart, always had a smile on his face. He was just an all-around great guy. He loved to walk; Steve would walk for miles. He enjoyed playing cards, and cribbage, his favorite teams were the Vikings and the Cubs. He listened to Rock music and went hunting and fishing when he could. For many years Steve worked for Lawn Pros, and as a teenager he worked at the Hilton.

He is survived by his sister, Sharon Brandt of Sioux City, Iowa, niece, Kayla (Luis) Ramirez of Sioux City, Iowa, brother-in-law, Ramon Camacho, many other nieces and nephews, and numerous friends.

Steve is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Roger and Lanny DeMey, two sisters, Laurie Soule and Lisa DeMey.
