Steven E. Beatty, 78, of Newcastle, Nebraska died Friday, July 12, 2024 at a Sioux City Hospital. There will be no services per Steven’s request. Waterbury Funeral Service is assisting the family with arrangements.

Steven Beatty was born July 7, 1946 in Sioux City, Iowa the son of Robert and Frances (Chaussee) Beatty. He grew up in Riverside in Sioux City and attended Riverside Schools and later Central High School. Steven joined the Navy and was stationed in Mississippi and served on an Air Craft Carrier.

He married Patty Fox in 1999. Together they made their home in Newcastle, Nebraska. Steven worked in shipping and painting for Prince Hydraulics for over 32 years.

He used to race cars and enjoyed boating on the river.

Survivors include his wife Patty of Newcastle; daughter, Bridgette (AJ III) Jones of Biloxi, Mississippi, a son, Scott (Jeana) Beatty of Elk Point, South Dakota; and a step-son, Clinton (Sue) Fox of Newcastle; four grandchildren, Paige (Ben), AJ IV, Carson and Landon; and a brother, Allan (Kathy) Beatty of Sioux City.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Kevin and Louie.
