Stephan A Horst, age 60, of Sioux City passed away on Wednesday September 4, 2013 at a local care facility.

Private graveside services will be held Tuesday at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday from 5-8 pm with the family present from 6-8 pm at Waterbury Funeral Service in Sergeant Bluff. Online condolences for the family may be made at www.waterburyfuneralserviceinc.com.

Stephan was born on October 19, 1952 in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Arthur W Horst and Norma J McCain.
He attended Sioux City Community Schools and graduated from Central High School with the class of 1971. He then attended Morningside College and graduated in 1979.

Stephan worked for Dennis Supply for more than 32 years before his illness forced his early retirement. He was a avid golfer and was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his brother Jeff Horst and his wife Brenda of Sioux City, his sisters Susan Horst of Sioux City and Deborah Klein of Redland California and his three nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
