Stanley L. Florke, 63 of Sioux City, died Saturday, July 29, 2017 at his residence.
A Time of Sharing will be held 7 pm Thursday, August 3rd at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Avenue. Visitation also Thursday, 4-8 pm with the family present 6-8 pm.
Stanley Lee Florke was born on March 10, 1954 in Sioux City, the son of Leroy and Lois (Foster) Florke. Stanley had served in the Army. On October 8, 1993 Stanley was united in marriage to Linda Steemken.
During the years, Stanley worked construction, drove truck and later at several area scrap yards. Most recently he was a self employed mechanic.
Stanley enjoyed fishing and camping, especially at Lake Francis Case and Lake Andes in South Dakota. He also enjoyed camping near Elk Point during the summers.
Stanley is survived by his wife Linda, sons Phillip Florke and Micheal (Katy) Florke and a step-son Joseph (Holly) Smith, daughters Rebecca Hudson, Carol Florke, Lisa Peck and step-daughters Angela Smith and Amanda (Terrance) Hayes, 12 grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren, his brothers Ron (Pam) Florke and Randy Florke, and his sisters, Virginia Waugh, Mary Cantrell, Aleas (Clyde) Erie and Barb (Steve) Terrell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Jay Divis and James Florke and one brother, Steve Florke.
