September 3, 1969 – August 14, 2025
Stacy John O'Connor, 55, of Sioux City, IA, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at The Hawkeye Club, 420 Jones St., Sioux City, IA. A meal and gathering will follow. All who wish to honor Stacy are welcome. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.
Stacy was born on September 3, 1969, in Wagner, SD, to Delphine O'Connor. He worked as a welder at various companies in Sioux City and took great pride in his craft. Stacy enjoyed music, fishing, gambling, and cooking, and he had a gift for making others laugh and feel welcome.
A man of great compassion, Stacy played an important role in the recovery community. He volunteered his time to support and inspire others, often sharing his story of strength and hope. He was also very proud of his Native American heritage and carried his culture with pride and dignity throughout his life.
Stacy will be remembered for his kindness, forgiveness, and generosity. He was always ready to lend a hand, and his humor and warmth touched the lives of many.
Those left to honor his memory include his mother, Delphine O'Connor; his daughter, Heaven Leigh Davison; his siblings, Michael O'Connor, Lisa O'Connor, Crystal Chaudhry, and Diana O'Connor; his significant other, Keri; his nieces, Brooke, Lisena, and Larissa; and his nephews, Nathan, Luis, and Kaiden. He is also survived by many cousins, extended family, and dear friends who loved him deeply.
As Stacy begins his journey to the Creator, his family and friends take comfort in knowing his spirit will continue to guide, protect, and inspire them.
