Shirley Ann Merrill

Shirley Ann Merrill, 87, of Sioux City, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, with her family by her side.

No services will be held at this time.

Shirley was born on August 3, 1938, in Huron, South Dakota, the daughter of George and Freda Webster. On February 16, 1962, she married John Merrill, and together they were blessed with four children.

A devoted homemaker, Shirley found great joy in caring for her family. She loved collecting dolls and spent many happy hours sewing, creating beautiful pieces for those she loved.

She is survived by her children: Brent (Melissa) Merrill, Tom (Misti) Merrill, Robert (Melissa) Merrill, and Amy Merrill, all of Sioux City, Iowa; ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Shirley was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John; her parents, George and Freda; her brother, Robert Webster; and her sister, MaryAnn Sena.
