Sheleitha R. Ford, 42, of Sioux City, Iowa passed away Monday, March 1, 2021 at a local hospital. Celebration of life will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, March 13 at Waterbury Funeral Services of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Avenue.
Sheleitha Renae Ford was born January 29, 1979 to Rudy Mosley and Carolyn Ford in Sioux City, Iowa. Sheleitha was raised in Sioux City. She attended public Schools and also Girls Inc. where she practiced judo. On March 1, 2021 Sheleitha had a baby girl, Miracle Renae Ford. Miracle fought a hard battle before she passed on Friday, March 5, 2021 at a hospital in Omaha, Ne.
Sheleitha (aka Big Roo) was a very loving person who knew how to have fun and was willing to give a helping hand and open her door for anyone in need. She loved to gamble and play bingo, the boat was her favorite place to go. Her personality filled the room. She was a fighter no matter the circumstances. She was a loving woman. Oh how we are going to miss that smile.
Sheleitha is survived by her mother, Carolyn Ford, step father, George Copper, both of Sioux City, IA; her six children, Trayvel Ford, Jon Ford, Jaylee Young, Jaleitha Milton, Tavayah Ford, Honesty Johnson all of Sioux City, IA; brothers, Lorenzo (Courtney) Ford, George Ford, both of Sioux City, IA, Julian Mosley of Blytheville, AR, Tony Cooper of Sioux City, IA, Marcus Mosley of Blytheville, AR; sisters, Tracy Ford, Portia Ford, both of Sioux City, IA, Deshaia Ross of Omaha, NE, Angel Cooper of Sioux City, IA, Julian (Sondra) Mosley of Morgantown, WV, April Mosley of Blytheville, AR; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Sheleitha was preceded in death by her father, Rudy Mosley; grandparents, Rev Willie J. Ford and Jessie Pearl Ford; an aunt, Dessie Ford-Redman; and two uncles, Jessie Ford and Harvey Ford.
