Sharon “Granny” Kay Mumm, 81, of Sioux City, IA, passed away November 21, 2024 surrounded by her family. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.
Sharon was born on February 15, 1943 in Earlham, IA to Clarence and Helen (Hodges) Stout. She graduated from Perry High School in Perry, IA and was united in marriage to LeRoy Mumm on February 28, 1962. Sharon worked as a box manufacturer at Brothers Paper Box Company and then later in food service for the Sioux City Community Schools before retiring. She enjoyed going to the racetrack and watching stock car races, with her favorite driver being Rusty Montange. She also enjoyed the Iowa Hawkeyes and reading, especially about the Amish culture.
Those left to honor her memory include her children: Brenda (Gary) Jensen and Rusty Mumm; grandsons: Rusty Mumm Jr., and Rodney Johnson; sister, Janice Haberkorn; and a brother, Clarence “Bud” (Pam) Stout.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, LeRoy; son, Rodney Mumm; sister, Helen “JoAnn” Bradwell; and brother-in-law, Lloyd Haberkorn.
