Sharon Lee (Jaqua) Henry, 66 of Hawarden, IA, died Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at a Sioux Falls hospital.

Memorial service will be held 1:00pm Friday, July 22, 2016 at Associated Church, 719 10th Street Hawarden, IA, with Pastor Erma Wolfe officiating. Burial to follow at Grace hill Cemetery in Hawarden. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sergeant Bluff.

Sharon was born November 12, 1949 in Pipestone, Minnesota the daughter of Glen and Ruth (Giffin) Jaqua. She graduated from Hawarden High School in 1968. On October 2, 1984 Sharon married Roger Henry in Tyler, TX. In 2004 they moved to Hawarden and then in April of 2011 moved to Raymore, Mo., then settling back to Hawarden, IA in June of 2013. She worked for Trane Air Conditioning from 1980-1983, Home Health Care from 1984-1997, and Story Write Publishing from 1997 -2004.

Sharon was a member of Associated Church in Hawarden, IA., and was Vice President of Hawarden Eagles Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing cards, crocheting, and visiting with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband Roger Henry of Hawarden, son Jeff Peters of Allen, Tx, daughter Angie (Peters) Welch of Raymore, MO, seven grandchildren Brandon Peters, Corey Peters, Brittani Peters, Emily Peters, Hannah Peters, Sarah Peters all of Allen, TX., Josh Peters-Welch of Raymore, MO., father Glen Jaqua of Sioux City, brother Butch Jaqua of Sioux City, IA., four sisters Vicky Carlson of Sioux City, IA., Cherly Risty of LeMars, IA., Sandy Gilyard, of Westport, SD., Pattricia Kirkegaard of Hasting, NE.

Sharon is preceded in death by her mother Ruth (Giffin) Jaqua.
