Sharon M. Glynn, 75, of Sioux City, passed away, Saturday, February 16 at her residence. Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service.
Sharon was born July 17, 1937 in Beresford, South Dakota, the daughter of Burdette and Bernice (Jennings) O’Connor. Sharon grew up in Vermillion, South Dakota, and attended school in Vermillion. She was a nurse in the Vermillion hospital. Sharon married John Glynn September of 1972 in Elk Point, South Dakota. John and Sharon lived in Fairbault, Minnesota, but were snowbirds and did a lot of traveling to the south. They recently moved to Sioux City.
Sharon enjoyed painting and playing bingo. She loved spending time with her family; Sharon was a loving mother and a great wife.
Survivors include her husband John, son Danny (Michelle) Ouellette of Minnesota, daughters Robyn (Eddie) Guerra of Oklahoma, Barb (Mike) Gaertner of Arizona, Diane (Tom) Jensen of Minnesota, and Sherry (Rey) Silva of Sioux City, step-son Pete Glynn of California, brothers Vernon O’Connor of North Dakota and Larry O’Connor of Sioux City, sisters Sheila Jones of Minnesota and Rita Cooper of Sioux City, 17 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, one son Raymond Ouellette, one daughter Theresa Ouellette, two brothers Pat and Bobby, and two grandchildren.
