Sharon K. Chase, 68 of Sioux City, died Monday, November 26, 2012 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 11 am Thursday, November 29th at Waterbury Funeral Service with Rev. Jerry Gilbeath officiating. Burial will be in Dakota City Cemetery. Visitation with family present one hour prior to service time. Online condolences may be sent to www.waterburyfuneralserviceinc.com.
Sharon was born on December 17, 1943 in Sioux City, the daughter of Collier Chase Sr., and Mildred (Gallup) Chase. She graduated in 1962 from Central High School. Sharon was baptized and confirmed at the First Lutheran Church in South Sioux City. She worked 15 years at Zenith, then for 28 years at Glazer’s Distributors.
Sharon was a sports fan, who enjoyed following the Cub’s, ISU, and Cornhuskers. She was artistic and enjoyed reading and working outdoors. She was always willing to help others, concerned with their needs, and was just so giving as a person.
Sharon is survived by her sister, Lorraine Krumwiede of South Sioux City, Nebraska, her brother, Norman Chase and his wife Donna of Salisbury, Maryland, numerous nieces and nephews; and Janet Salyers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Kenneth, Byron and Collier Chase, Jr., and three sisters, Melva Grenier, Evelyn Gill and as an infant, Karen Chase.
