Sharon Kay Allen 75 of North Sioux City, South Dakota died Saturday, May 4, 2024.

Memorial services will be held in conjunction with 2 of her grandchildren, Keenan Andre Allen and Ezra Josiah Allen at 1 pm Saturday, June 1, 2024, at the Good News Baptist Church in Sioux City, with Rev. John Woodford officiating. Visitation one hour prior at the church.

Sharon was born on June 17, 1948, in Coffeyville, Kansas the daughter of Virgil and Ruth (Rowe) Lewis. They later moved to Great Bend, Kansas and then Iowa, where she met her husband, Orin C. Allen, Jr. They were married on November 23, 1968.

Sharon worked as a waitress and after that she stayed home to take care of their daughter, Sherri. Sharon loved children and liked to babysit. She also liked knitting and crocheting, putting puzzles together and taking care of her family. Sharon totally loved being a grandma and great grandma.

Sharon is survived by her daughter, Sherri K. Dudley, grand-daughter Brittany Allen, great-grandson Apollo Javon Allen, 3 sisters, Karen (Roy) Shrader, Carol (David) Thacker, Grace Schraeder, 3 brothers, Marvin Lewis, Delbert (Lucille) Lewis and Charles Lisenby, and many nieces and nephews.

Sharon died with 2 of her great grandsons Keenan Andre Allen and Ezra Josiah Allen. She was also preceded in death by her husband, parents, stepfather Roger, a brother Kenneth Lewis, a sister, Kathy Lewis, her father and mother-in law, Orin C. Allen, Sr. and Viva Allen, a sister-in law Joyce Getz, brother-in laws, Ron Allen and Garry Allen, a niece Lori Adamson.
