Obituary

Scott A. Mosier, 59 of Sergeant Bluff, died Friday, October 5, 2012 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

Services will be held Thursday, October 11, 2012 at 2 pm with Rev. Scott Squires officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday 4-8 pm at Waterbury Funeral Service.

Scott was born on August 27, 1953 in Sioux City, Iowa, the son of David and Faonne (Bailes) Mosier. He graduated in 1972 from the Sergeant Bluff High School.

He was a truck driver, and drove logging trucks for 10 years in Maryland. On March 25, 1944, he was united in marriage to Michelle Walker in Berlin, Maryland. They moved to Sergeant Bluff during 1998. For the past twelve years, he drove truck for Consumer Supply Distributing.

Scott enjoyed music and dancing in his younger days, and was an avid NASCAR watcher. He loved his grandchildren greatly.

Scott is survived by his wife Michelle, one son, Joseph Moskowitz of Berlin, Maryland; three daughters, Sara Kay and her husband David Walker of Princess Ann, Maryland, Samantha Jo Mosier of Sioux City, and Jennifer Moskowitz of New York City, New York; his father, David Mosier of Sergeant Bluff; one brother, Troy Mosier of Sergeant Bluff, and two sisters, Naydeen Bell of South Sioux City, Nebraska and Jacqueline Mosier of Sioux City; and his grandchildren, Mia Walker, David Walker, III and Jude Scott Bailey.

He was preceded in death by his mother Faonne Mosier and one brother, Brad Mosier.
